Djugo Privacy Policy

The short version

Djugo is a shared calendar app for keeping habits with friends. We collect what we need to run that — your email, your name, and your check-ins — and share your name, photo, and check-in status only with people you've actually connected with in the app. We don't run ads, sell your data, or track you across other apps. You can delete your account and everything tied to it, anytime, from Profile → Account → Delete Account.

01 Who we are

Djugo is developed and operated by an independent developer ("we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what information the Djugo app collects, why, and what control you have over it.

02 What we collect

Account information — your email address, display name, username, and profile photo (if you choose to upload one; otherwise we assign a default emoji avatar).
Calendar & habit data — the calendars you create or join, their names, emojis, and descriptions, and your daily check-ins (done or missed) on each one.
Social data — friend requests, accepted friends, calendar invitations, and anyone you've blocked.
Feedback — anything you submit through Send Feedback.
Push notification token — a device-specific identifier, issued by Apple or Google, used to deliver notifications (like a calendar invite) when the app isn't open.
Payment information — if you subscribe to Djugo Plus, payment is handled entirely by Stripe on our website; we never see or store your card details ourselves.

We don't collect your location, contacts, health data, or browsing activity outside the app.

03 How we use it

To run the app itself — sign you in, sync your calendars and check-ins, and calculate your streaks and progress.
To connect you with friends you choose to add, and let you collaborate on calendars you share.
To send notifications you've opted into, like reminders or invitations.
To activate Djugo Plus after a successful subscription payment.
To respond when you send us feedback.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.

04 What's visible to other users

Djugo is a shared app by design, so some information is visible to people you interact with:

Anyone you share a calendar with can see your name, avatar, and your daily check-in status on that calendar.
Friends can see your name, username, and avatar.
Your name and username appear in search results to people looking to add you, unless you've blocked each other.

Your email address is never shown to other users.

05 Third-party services

We rely on a small number of service providers to run Djugo:

Supabase — hosts our database, handles sign-in (including emailing you a one-time code), and stores uploaded profile photos.
Expo — delivers push notifications to your device through Apple's and Google's own push services.
Stripe — processes Djugo Plus subscription payments on our website. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, never your card details.
Cloudflare — hosts this website.

We don't use advertising networks, analytics or tracking SDKs, or data brokers.

06 Retention & account deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account anytime from Profile → Account → Delete Account. This removes your profile, friendships, check-in history, and feedback immediately and can't be undone.

If you own a calendar shared with others, it's handed to whoever has been a member the longest rather than deleted, so the people you shared it with keep their history — unless you're its only member, in which case it's removed along with your account.

07 Your choices

Notifications — turn these on or off anytime in Profile settings.
Blocking — block anyone from a friend's profile, an incoming friend request, or search results. Once blocked, they can't send you a new friend request and won't see you in search. Manage this from Profile → Account → Blocked Users.
Your profile — update your name, username, or photo whenever you like.
Your subscription — cancel Djugo Plus anytime from the receipt email Stripe sends you.
Your account — delete it entirely, as above.

08 Children's privacy

Djugo isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

09 Security

Djugo runs on Supabase's infrastructure, which encrypts data in transit and enforces row-level database rules restricting each account to its own data and whatever's been explicitly shared with it. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

10 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Djugo changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
